FAQ's and Details....

Details are no small thing, right? If you have questions, call 303-903-3872.

FAQ's

  1. Licenses - your fishing license is part of the package - we've gotcha covered.

  2. Gear - your gear - gotcha covered there, too. If you really would like to use your own, that's cool, too!

  3. Clothing. Weather and conditions can be highly variable. Think layers, and not cotton.

  4. Food. Y'all may get hungry, or y'all may be too busy having fun. You do you - we have plenty of cooler space.

  5. Beverages. Water and soft drinks provided. Adult beverages (NO GLASS) are not. Captain reserves the right to limit adult beverage consumption.

  6. Fishies. We are happy to clean and bag your catch for you. We'll even try to find a restaurant to cook it for you, but that tends to be highly variable.

  7. Tunes. Bring a bluetooth-capable (and downloaded) playlist - happy to crank it up!

  8. Sunscreen. Highly, highly recommended, but NO spray-products. They make for an extremely slippery and hazardous deck.

  9. Minimum Age. Based on experience, the minimum age for fishing trips is 14. There is no minimum for tours.

Financial Details

  1. Booking Deposit. A $500 deposit is required for all fishing bookings. A $200 deposit is required for all tours. This amount may change depending on the number of seats booked and/or at the sole discretion of College Fund Sportfishing, LLC.

  2. Payment. Cash or even a check is preferred, with check subject to approval. Venmo, PayPal, Zelle and CashApp are all options as well. Payment in full is due before we leave the dock.

  3. Weather. In the event that weather cancels a trip, the trip may be re-booked at no additional cost. If the trip cannot be re-booked, the deposit will be refunded, less any costs incurred based on payment method.

  4. Cancellation. If the booking is cancelled at the option of the participant, the deposit will be retained and the participant has up to one calendar year to re-book and apply the deposit. If the trip is not re-booked within that year, the deposit is forfeited.

  5. Acts of Neptune (or other Gods). Things happen. Boats can break. If the Captain is forced for any reason to cancel a trip prior to departure, he will first refund 100% of the deposit, and then assist you in re-booking with another boat, should you so choose. Doing so neither incurs nor assumes any liability for the Captain or College Fund Sportfishing, LLC.

  6. Weather-shortened-trips. If the weather shortens a trip, a pro-rata portion of the trip may be refunded based on the distance covered at time of cancellation and the hours invested. We make early weather decisions to avoid this eventuality.

  7. Should participants choose to shorten a trip for any reason, no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, are given. Similarly, if College Fund returns to the dock early due to the judgement of the Captain or Mate (such as intoxication, behavior, etc.) no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, are given. Once we leave the dock, the trip is fully committed.

  8. Misuse or abuse of the boat or provided gear and equipment will result in replacement or repair charges to the trip participants at the sole discretion of College Fund Sportfishing, LLC.

Trip Details

  1. Safety is first and foremost. What the Captain and Mates says, goes. Full-stop.

  2. White soled shoes, boat shoes or bare feet only. Seriously. Dark soles make a hard-to-clean mess.

  3. No bottles. There's an awesome selection of canned beverages these days, so there's no reason to have glass clanking around onboard.

  4. Liability Waiver.  Please see the PDF at the button on this page for the required waiver. All participants are required to have a signed waiver before leaving the dock. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  5. Seasickness. If a participant is prone to seasickness, we strongly encourage them to take one dose of their chosen medication the NIGHT BEFORE the trip and another at the time of departure. See #6 under Financial Details for trips that are shortened by seasickness.
